This classic Christian devotional is a source of comfort, wisdom and revelation. It is a deep inward look at one's relationship with Jesus that enables an outward expression of greater grace.

About the Book

I have turned to this book in several decades of my Christian walk.  Each time, I see new revelation of the person of Christ.  Several years ago, I was in the midst of shutting down a business after utter financial failure.  It was a very discouraging time.  A group of eight Christians had come from out of state came to tour the facility.  Though the door was locked, they pleaded to be let inside.  I showed them the operation and shared a testimony of God’s grace in the midst of my circumstance.  We prayed together.  As they left, they sang an old hymn in beautiful harmony.  Two weeks later, I received a copy of Tozer’s book in the mail.  Reading the words, once again, infused a grace deep in my soul and marked the beginning of my recovery.  I will always be thankful for their gift and the words of this wonderful devotional.

Favorite Quotation

“The Voice of God is a friendly Voice. No one need fear to listen to it unless he has already made up his mind to resist it. The blood of Jesus has covered not only the human race but all creation as well. ‘And having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.’ We may safely preach a friendly Heaven. The heavens as well as the earth are filled with the good will of Him that dwelt in the bush. The perfect blood of atonement secures this forever.”
